I just bought a modded xbox i dont know if it is soft modded or chipped can some1 help me? I tried to burn an iso using image burn and it does nothing and the xbox freezes please help. thanx

will it play a real game disc?what dashboard are you using?are you sure it is modded?try birning at slower speed and different media?
we need info if you want us to help ..if anything talk to person you bought from..they should br able to tell you

I cant talk to the guy he moved. i took a pic of the dashboard thats on there is there any way i can send it to u? I know its modded he gave me a burned game halo 2 it works he gave me a disc with emulators on it also they work. i have tried burning at a slower rate. please help me. what other info do u need i know the kernal is v1.00 5838.01. anything else u need to know to help me please

What game are you trying to play? Where did you download it from? Perhaps you got a bad copy. One thing I always try is use a program like Magic ISO to try and open the ISO image file. IF you can and you see the actual game files in there then it should be a good ISO copy (usually). If not then it's a bad ISO; you would still be able to burn it to disc but it will not play.

Can you describe what your dashboard looks like? They usually will have the name of it when it boots up or is already loaded.

Moose ..he sent me a jpeg of the dash but ive neve rseen it b4..he also said that it keeps resetting the clock which i told him how to go through file manager to reach ms dashboard and try setting that way..told him also to try and redownload a game from here and reburn with different media,,,he says he was using verbatium -r,which ive used with no problems,,,but as we all know you can get a bad batch. ..told him it could also have been a bad download and that he would find help from someone here

It could also be a crappy dvd drive. Certain drives are picky about certain media. My advice would be to use the same media as the type the dude gave you for halo 2 plus maybe installing a proper dash.
