have you successfully downloaded and burned any other games using those DVD+R discs and had them work? I personally use DVD-R but I haven't tried that exact game.

I think DVD-Rs are your best bet, I usually just FTP them though, much easier

I think in order to answer this ? for raiscape , he must first answer Moose1851 's ?

Exbox hit the nail on the head with his response, but the truth about it is, the info needs to be able to be found here to.

When burning XBOX games.... as stated above
USE : DVD - R

And a lot of what matters as far as your Xbox being able to read the disc depends on the DVD drive and /or the condition of the laser.

Sometimes a cloudy lens can hinder a laser from reading a DVD - R. If your Xbox was ever in a home with pets or smokers... It's probably a good idea to take your drive apart and thoroughly but gently clean your lasers lenses.

Keep in mind that this is not a guaranteed fix. But it works 90% of the time.

For that other 10%... You probably are looking at a potentiometer adjustment. Unless you have a oscilloscope and really know what you are doing, forget it... just buy a replacement laser.

Before you begin... Google is your friend. Remember to google your drive model number and brand. You can find all kinds of helpful info pertaining to your specific dvd drive.
Microsoft uses 4 different brands that I know of.
One brand read all Burnt media well, Some brands not so well, and I believe one, not at all.

Hope this helps!

I have used both CD+rw/r and DVD+rw/r and so forth. I figured this out when I was having connectivity issues with FTP. I had a few RWs of each laying around so I was putting games on them and I was ripping them to the HDD and then erasing the media on the discs.

Th trick is the brand of media. I have never had a Sony disc rejected by any media player be it gaming console, car audio, or HOE system.

Sorry for bringing up a old post but I thought I would put that up there for people.
