It'd be kinda cool if you could turn one into a mini PC using one of those really small mobos. It'd be tricky getting a cdrom lined up but it would be pretty sweet!

I just found this online:
http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/i64xbox/

May seem redundant but I want one.

"Oh!My dear Little Red Hood! Thank you for your coming!"

I know this is a really delayed little reply, but Moose1851, I like the idea that person had. I was actually wondering if I can do just that. Now I see that I can, I'm gonna so do that! I'm gonna build a little HTPC and put it all in my Xbox case, and get a small HTPC case and put my Xbox in it! I will so post pics when I do it...providing I'm still with this community when I do it >.

very late reply. lol.. but i have actually made a pc fit into the case. had to drill my own holes. and had to cut off the hole back. lots of sanding i had to do. couldnt fit in a drive though. and the motherboard was a PERFECT fit in every direction. but! it overheated . and i had to use a external drive. and i used windows 98.. im lookin to do this project again. ima actually try a bit harder. i plan on taking off the xbox jewel off the top and using a fan with grill. and maybe rig the jewel onto it. when i first did this. i had a cruddy mobo. i mean like 166mhz processor. lol be easier to just softmod xbox and run Windows CE from xbins. and make it default boot after all drivers installed for keyboard and mouse. lol

Past is past, future is present.

Fitting a pc inside the xbox case is actually very easy as long as you have the patience, as for fitting a HDD use a laptop or solid state HDD under the dvd drive.

It takes me hours to rip, test, compress and upload games but it only takes a second to click the thanks button so don't forget to say thanks =)
