im new here. i have been downloading many of the games here. i just got my xbox modded. i need to learn how to softmod myself. can anyone help me? the games are easy to make and extract. so, i'm sure the softmod is easy too...thanx

Google is your friend...

There are some tutorials here but if you don't find what you need try google. There several ways to do this. There are also numerous guides and even some youtube videos.

If you get stuck... Let us know a more specific problem you are having... and we will find a solution.

My method of choice is the Mech Assault game exploit. There's basically 3 main ways using 1 of 3 different games. You get the file you need on the memory card (the hard part in my opinion) and then load up Mech Assault and perform the exploit.

I've modded about 8 boxes so far and had zero problems.

just chop a usb cable and a sacrificable xbox controller and make a pc xbox controller. then use action replay to put the save on the mem card. soldering isnt even required, but i solder the wires anyway. it should look like:
(xbox male--usb female)
(usb male--xbox release female)
(xbox release male--xbox controller)
the xbox release is that circular thing after the plugin but before the controller. just match the colors and dont connect the yellow wire to anything. heres a link for some pics:

also, where it says cut as close as possible to the xbox male plug, theyre lying, thatll render the controller useless to the xbox and youll only be able to use it on the pc, and thats a big no cuz afterwards youll need to use the controller on the xbox again. mech assult is the way to go. if you cant find the save then someone should be able to help you find a link to it. and remember to back up your eeprom and ms dash. i didnt bother reading the nonsense on that page, i was just lookin for some pics so you can see what im reffering to. best of luck!
