XBMC Main Dash Shorcut Created By Demyk Created With XBE Maker BACKUP your original softmod dash xbe, along with any other essential softmod files such as xml, ini, cfg, etc. You will know what files apply to your softmod, as they will vary. However, this shorcut will work with any softmod. Also, restoring your softmod dash as the main dash is as simple as copy/paste. Install Steps 1) XBMC (version doesn't matter) MUST be installed on your Xbox hard drive as follows: E/apps/XBMC/ You must have the folders typed exactly as above, lower case on apps and caps on XBMC. The shorcut I made will load the XBMC xbe at the following path E/apps/XBMC/default.xbe, so DON'T install this shorcut unril you have your XBMC installed as above. 2) Rename your softmod dash xbe to something other then the ORIGINAL file name. Example: default.xbe renamed to default2.xbe 3) Copy my default.xbe into your E folder where your softmod dash xbe is located (may be C in some cases). You MUST rename my default.xbe to whatever your softmod dash xbe is called. If it is named default, no need to rename. I have Avalaunch, thus I would rename the provide default.xbe to evox.xbe. Restart your Xbox, it will load the default.xbe (or whatever yours is properly named) just as your softmod is supposed to. Instead of loading the softmod dash, it redirects the launch to XBMC, provided you used the same folders I did, which is a MUST! You can also access your softmod dash. I created a folder, Avalaunch, on my E drive. Within that folder, I included the ORIGINAL softmod evoxdash.xbe and avalaunch.xml. Using file manager, or proper system settings under XBMC, you can access my softmod dash. |
