The second part of the acclaimed Fatal Frame (a.k.a. Rei Zero) which is actually a prequel to the events that occurred in the first part. This time the player controls twin sisters trapped in a Lost Village, a generation before the story of Himuro's mansion. By chance the player is also introduced to the camera and its mystical powers, which is the only item that will help to steal apparitions' and ghosts' souls. The storyline unfolds around a dark ritual gone bad, seizing the time and space in the village in which the sisters are trapped inside, guided by a strange butterfly.
