Hi Folks!

I have been getting a lot of emails from our users over in America that the download speeds are slow and not what they expected.

This is caused by the distance from the server to the user (The Netherlands to the USA) but it is easily fixed.

When you download using your browser, you will only utilise 1 connection to the server - this is causing the slow speeds.

As a Premium or Lite user, you are allocated a maximum of 12 simultanious connections to the server, with free users only having 1.

This means, if you are downloading at 100KBps from the usa, you will be able to get 12x100KBps - 1200KBps!

How to do it

First off, you will need the following programs:

Free Download Manager - get it here http://files.freedownloadmanager.org/lite/fdminst-lite.exe
The lates Firefox browser (Which I'm sure you already have)

Once you have installed the Free Download Manager, you need to make sure it will automatically 'Monitor' the firefox browser by going to options > settings > monitoring and make sure the firefox box is ticked.

Then, go to options > settings > network and make sure 'Maximum number of connections per one server' is set to 12

You're now good to go - just go to the download page, click the fast download link as usual and Free Download Manager will automatically load. Click OK on the popup window to start downloading

	I get it to work, but still not to the full speed i should be able to pick up, with this i get like 140kb/sec but i should be able to do 10x that

	Hi, You need to give the program a few mins to utilise all 11 threads - you will notice a great difference then!

	Hello JaMbo87 very nice tutorial and easy to follow, but I still can't get blazing speeds and I have even restarted my computer and followed all directions more than several times to make sure I didn't miss a step. My average speed is between 80-140 kbps. Please Help

	Well as my previous post was deleted without my question being answered Ill ask it more simply. This does not work and obviously I am not the only one who thinks so...Question being why should one pay for this site when u download just as slow as if u download for free?

	Works for me alright. Thanks for this! For you guys who claims this is not working, please check your connection settings etc. (Hub/Router settings too) the problems at your end and not the site. Thanks JaMbo87

	what is wrong with the download servers....after getting like 50% download it stops downloading telling me 'unknownserver error'....its not fair to pay for a service and not get it in return.....pls resolve this

	intudip - We have been working on the file server recently, also subscriber downloads can be resumed using this download manager so just log back into the site and click start/resume on the download manager

	if anyone uses a mac to download ., try Igetter. was downloading at 100kbs now doing over 900. this is awsome

	IMPORTANT We have changed the way we server downloads. (http://xboxisozone.com/community/forums/2/updates/87/ ) We now reccomend using ORBIT Download Manager

	ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE FDM now works fine and is now functioning better than orbit
