ftp to you xbox without ftp software. by timmartha
When i first started moding my xbox back in a day, you had to use ftp software and i hated it. I came a cross a tutorial on how to make an ftp to your xbox just using windows.
I'm going to explain how to do this on a windows vista pc but it is basically the sam for other versions of windows. I don't know about macs.

I'm new to this community so if this has ben posted allready i'm sorry.

I use my laptop throu a wireless router for this. You will need some kindof router.

Ok to begin turn on your xbox and go to your system, settings, network and make sure were it says enable set to yes. Then were it says type set it to DHCP if it says Static.

Save and restart xbox.

As soon as its done restarting get your IP address you will need this.

Now open you my computer on ypu pc. At the bottom of the window under were it says Network Location right click in an empty spot and chose Add a network location.

Click next. click Choose a custom network location then next.

In the box under Internet or network address type ftp://xbox:xbox@***.***.*.***.
Were the * are is were you will put your IP adress.
So it would look somthing like this ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.0.000.

The xbox:xbox is the login and passwords to go in to your xbox. If it is diferent then replace them acordingly.

Click next and put somthing in the box so you will know what it is, like my xbox.

Click next and then finish.

There you go all you need is to turn on your xbox and dubble click the icon and it will open up your xbox like it was just another window.

Hope this helps some one.

For me this method is really slow. I use C-XBox Tool, and it takes about 10 min
