How to bridge you’re Xbox to the internet using windows 7

After spending hours trying to set up an ICS network on windows 7 to share the internet access from my pc to my Xbox, I finally gave up. I’m sure there is a way to do it, but I don’t have the time or patience. Finally I decided to try and create a bridge connection between my pc and Xbox and presto connection successful!!!

Items you need

A crossover cable (from pc to Xbox)

Internet connection to the PC (USB cable/DSL modem)

It is actually quite simple. First you want to make sure your internet connection in network settings is set to automatically retrieve you network IP address. Next, press Ctrl and select both your internet connection network and your local area connection (LAN) in network settings. Right click on your internet connection and select bridge connections. It will take a second for your PC to bridge connections. After this, go into whichever dash board you use on your Xbox and go to your network settings and select your Xbox to retrieve your IP address from your PC by selecting the DHCP setting. Make sure your FTP is also enabled on your Xbox and click save. Lastly, reboot you Xbox and presto you should have a bridged connection to the internet from your PC to your Xbox Way eaiser than setting up a ICS connection on windows 7.
